 Consideration of granting political asylum Koktysh again postponed.
February 12, 2010 at the hearing about granting political asylum Koktysh party respondent declared that, in connection with the reorganization of the immigration service, the activities of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions suspended. And it means, that be responsible for the unlawful decision to no one. The court doubted about this fact and rescheduled the hearing on 15:00, 12 March 2010.
 It is the known date of the court for illegal refusal Koktysh in status refugee.
The court on the illegal decision of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions of refusal Koktysh refugee status will pass on February 12, 2010. The court will be open, so we invite all media representatives and civil society organizations to this meeting.

 Court regarding the refusal of refugee status to Koktysh set for January 26, 2010
The court over the illegal decision of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions about refusal in refugee status for Koktysh to be held Jan. 26 at the District Administrative Court of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
 The European Court found violations of the Igor Koktysh's rights.
The court acknowledged that the detention of Igor Koktysh is a violation of the right to liberty and security (Article 5 of the Convention). The court stated that Ukraine violate Article 3 of the European Convention in the case of Igor's extradition to Belarus. In addition, Ukraine has violated the right to effective remedy (Article 13). From the European Court decision implies that the only way to eliminate violations of Igor Koktysh's rights - is to refuse to extradite him to Belarus and to release him immediate.

 Amnesty International demands to release of Igor Koktysh from custody.
November 10, 2009 Amnesty International have launched urgent action. Members of this organization from different countries send a letter to the Ukrainian government to demand the immediate release of Prisoner of Conscience Igor Koktysh from custody and to refuse issuance of Belarus. This is the second action of Amnesty International, aimed at the release of Igor Koktysh.
 Amnesty International recognized Igor Koktysh Prisoner of Conscience.
November 4, 2009, the world organization recognized Koktysh as who has been detained for political reasons. Moreover, the status of prisoner of conscience he is granted not only in the event of extradition to Belarus, but now that Igor is in detention in Ukraine, because the Ukrainian government has thus assisting the Belarusian regime in its persecution of opposition man. Currently, members of Amnesty International are preparing publications and a number of shares that will continue until the release of political prisoner from detention.
 General Prosecutor's Office declined to bring the criminal case against violators of the Law.
General Prosecutor's Office of the Ukraine declined to bring the criminal case against police officials, who participated in the arrest of Igor Koktysh. According to this authority, violations of law "did not find its confirmation" that's why the crime in the actions of the militia is absent. Also important to know that a request for a list of persons who detained the Belarusian opposition leader, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has gave two completely opposite on the content of the answer, but was not indicated the compound of participants of the process of detention.  Presidential Secretariat has taken Igor Koktysh's situation under control.
Secretariat of the President of the Ukraine did not remain in side of rough breaches of the human rights in Koktysh's case. Its workers came to control the progress of the case and applied to General public prosecutor's office of the Ukraine with request to give him its answer about facts of the breaches of the rights of belorussian oppositioner.
 The People's elected representatives continue to advocate for compliance with the law in Koktysh's case.
Nikolai Katerinchuk, leader of the European Party of Ukraine, appealed to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine with the request in person to verify violations of law and human rights in case of Belarus oppositioner Igor Koktysh, and promptly remove them. We remind that this is not the first deputy request to the General Public Prosecutor and others. We express our deep gratitude to Nikolai Katerinchuk and his team for their non-indifference and patriotism.

 Human rights organizations and civil organizations call for the immediate release from detention of Igor Koktysh.

June 25 at the information agency UNIAN (Kiev) was passed a press conference attended by the wife of Igor Koktysh Irina Tyutyunnik, Head of Zhytomyr regional branch of the International Society for Human Rights Viktor Bondar, Igor Koktysh representative in the European Court from Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group Aigul Mukanova, president of the institute of Statehood and Democracy Ivan Lozovoy, as well as a special guest from Belarus chairman of the БНФ Lyavon Borschevsky.

 District courts are considering the applications for Koktysh's liberation.
On April 17, 2009 applications were filed to Balaklava district court of Sevastopol and Railway District Court of Simferopol for the liberation of Igor Koktysh from custody, because there he was, without court or investigation on period, which is more then national and European legislations allow. We hope that this time the General Prosecutor's Office will not exert pressure on the courts. It will enable them to take an objective and legitimate decision of Koktysh's liberation from custody immediately.
 On 11 of May Igor Koktysh celebrated his birthday.
Because of indifference, unprofessional and lawlessness in the highest locations of Ukraine belarusian opposition is the second time celebrated his birthday at investigstion insulator, being without court and effect there.
On this day, people from different countries were able to leave on this site for Igor the wishes and words of support.

 On April 16, 2009, took place flash-mob in support of Igor Koktysh.
The activists of youth organization of Zhitomir (the Ukraine) have organized flash-mob, on which have expressed its solidarity with political prisoner Igor Koktysh. The Participants passed on central street of the city with lined paper, as well as belorussian and ukrainian national symbology. Near building of the public prosecutor's office activists have released from hutch of the white dove that symbolized the liberation from beneath guards Igorya. The Representatives of the dictatorial mode expressed the people in black with mask Lukashenko, which constantly tried to disturb the procession. Afterwards each participant and simply passer-by wrote their own word of support Igoryu on specially вывешенных on wall sheet of paper. The press-conference took place after such actions with participation rights protectors and leaders youth organization.

People's deputy of Ukraine of БЮТ, the representative of the ruling coalition Gennadij Zadyrko, responding to a letter from the wife of Igor Koktysh, appealed to the competent authorities with a request to deny the Republic of Belarus in the extradition Koktysh and, based on current legislation of Ukraine, to halt its unlimited-long detention.

 The protest against the prolonged arrest of the Belarusian opposition Igor Koktysh in Ukraine
It took place on 25 March at 12.00 in front of the General Procuracy of Ukraine. The president of the Institute of Statehood and Democracy, Ivan Lozovoy was the organizer of the action. People expressed their views by banners and slogans of «Freedom to Koktysh». During the picket Igor's wife, Irina Tyutyunnik liberated from the cells of the white dove, symbolizing that the liberation of Belarusian opposition. After the picket a written appeal to the General Prosecutor of Ukraine was filed to the requirement to deny the Republic of Belarus in the extradition Koktysh, and free him from detention immediately, because under the current legislation of Ukraine is the detention was illegal. The leaders of human rights and social organizations supported the appeal with the signatures. White-red-white flags at the protest voiced solidarity with the Belarusian people, who noted Day of Freedom on the same day.

 Correspondence is under control?!
Igor Koktysh's defenders once again! not received a letter containing the important notice from European Court. This is the 3rd event of correspondence disappearance from Strasbourg in this case. The incident only confirms the execution of order, where the key role plays by the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. Igor is in custody already 21st month, it greatly exceeds the terms of arrest in the current legislation. It is a strange position for the body whose primary purpose is to monitor compliance with the Law.
 Alexander Milinkevich has assisted and supported Igor Koktysh.
The Candidate on post of the President Belarus 2006 Alexander Milinkevich applied to UNHCR with request to render the assistance Igor Koktysh in granting him status refugee. The People, which fight for liberty and fairness of Igor, express to Alexander Vladimirovich deep thanks and respect.
 «Objective» Migration Service assists the Belarusian authorities.
23 October 2008 the State Committee for Nationalities and Religion refused to grant refugee status to Igor Koktysh. Notification of this decision, Igor received only on 19 November. Employees of the migration service does not want to explain the reasons for refusal (may be, because of their absences?). Recall that terms were prolonged as possible at almost every stage of the Koktysh's application. This is nothing else than an evident assistance to the Belarusian authorities in illegal persecution of Igor Koktysh.
 The process of the granting the status refugee is delayed.
It has been a month (from 8 September), but we have no any results yet. According to words of the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions, Koktysh’s case not even comes into consideration. They explain this lack of time due to the large number of pending cases. Although we think that the Koktysh's question should be resolved primarily because he remains in PTDC.

A stage of «communication statements» is started now. It means that specific questions were sent to the Ukrainian Government, which must answere before 22 January 2009. Igor Koktysh asked Ukraine to provide him a safety, and at this moment the question is being decided in Kyiv. The results will be known in particular, law established time, in 1 month.
To remind you, Igor Koktysh has been staying in prison for 15 month already! As a fact, the period of the sentence was not mentioned in the Balaklava District Court in Sevastopol. That's why, it can be taken as non proved limit of the human rights and freedom, which is breaking the 5th of European Convention of Protection of The Human Rights and Freedom and 29th of the Constitution of Ukraine.
 In Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Igor Koktysh's question was examined.

10th of October, 2007 European Court banned extradition to Belarus before the final verdict of the court. At the site, you can find the document, which is banning Igor's extradition.
 Amnesty International has carried out the action of the urgent help.
The members of organization asked the government to give a refusal in the extradition of Koktysh. Hundreds of letters were sent to the General Public Prosecutor, the President of Ukraine and other empowered persons. After finishing the action, the members of International amnesty are still observing the Koktysh's case.
 Christian people also support Igor Koktysh.
The portal of Christian resources wrote an article about Koktysh, like about a man, who is chased for his Christian thoughts. The article was written in the eve of 11th November, the International Day of the Prayer for Christians, who are chased.
 Wife of Igor Koktysh established a new internet project
Irina Tyutyunyk, the wife of Igor Koktysh, continues her husband's occupation. She established new social internet project "Life without drugs". So a measure for healthy way of life took part in one of the night clubs of Berdychev. It was simultaneously a party, a contest between people, accompanied by chatting with youth.
 Belarusian Newspaper "Nasha Niva" supports Igor Koktysh with the article.
On 14th of May a journalist of "Nasha Niva" wrote an article about Koktysh called "Happy Birthday in Sevastopol Prison", where he explains that Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs claims Koktysh a crime, though he hadn't been sentenced yet.

This is a usual practice of Belarusian regime in the fighting against the freedom of speech and the personal rights of far-outers.
